 Jaipur is top of the list for international and domestic tourists. In tourist traffic it is next only to Agra. Because the city has something to welcome all types of tourists - Heritage, Adventure, Wildlife, Pilgrimage, etc. It interests the rich, the business traveller, the budgetwalas and the backpackers. And the city is able to provide for all of them - in hordes, year after year. Jaipur falls in a rich mineral belt of marble, precious and semi precious stones, which makes it a unique marketplace for both raw and finished products. Jewellery of precious and semi-precious stones is a strong attraction for tourists. Jaipur is also home to gold and silver jewellery made in the “Kundan” and “Meenakari” traditions, which are now world famous.

History:

In the region of the former Jaipur time was under Matsya Kingdom. [Citation needed].

Modern Jaipur was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Ram Seo Amber Master II who reigned from 1699 to 1.744. Initially his capital was Amber, which is 11 km from Jaipur. I felt the need to move his capital with population growth and increasing water scarcity. The King consulted several books on architecture and architects before making the layout of Jaipur. Finally, under the guidance of Vidyadhar Bhattacharya architectural, (initially an accounts-in the Amber treasury and later promoted to the position of Chief Architect by the King) Jaipur came into existence on the classical principles of Vastu Shastra and similar treaties classic.

Geography and Climate:

Jaipur is the headquarters of Jaipur district which is situated in the eastern part of Rajasthan. It is located at 26.92°N 75.82°E. It has an average elevation of 431 metres (1417 ft).

Jaipur has a hot semi-arid climate (Köppen climate classification BSh) receiving over 650 millimetres (26 in) of rainfall annually. with the summer months of April to early July having average daily temperatures of around 30 °C (86 °F). The winter months of November to February are mild and pleasant, with average temperatures ranging from 15–18 °C (59–64 °F) and with little or no humidity.
